This posting is only open to current Amarillo ISD 12th Grade Students. 

Amarillo's Cultivating Our Rising Educators (CORE)  is designed to instrumentally support our future cadres of educators.  It provides mentorship, support and training needed to successfully complete 4 years of college at WTAMU ready to become a teacher in Amarillo ISD upon graduating.  We commit to providing CORE with a community of support throughout their college education that prepares them to join AISD's amazing team of educators prepared to teach our diverse student body. 

 

CORE Eligibility Requirements

1. Must be a current AISD high school senior.

2. Must be authorized to work in the US (e.g., U.S. Citizen, Permanent Legal Resident, DACA or Eligible        Non-Citizen).

3. Must apply and be accepted to WTAMU or AC and receive a Bachelor's degree from WTAMU.

4. Must complete FAFSA or state-based financial aid application.

5. Must complete WT’s online scholarship application (priority deadline 01/01/25)                                    wtamu.edu/scholarships if attending WTAMU freshman year.

 

Application Requirements

1. Secure the email address of an AISD educator or an AISD professional support staff member (counselor, librarian, etc.) who has made a strong impact on your educational like to serve as a reference. Obtain his/her permission and email address to add to your application. References will automatically receive an online reference form to complete.  REFERENCE MUST BE A CURRENT AISD TEACHER and/or COACH.

2. SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION BEFORE 1/31/25, 11:55 PM CST.

3. Complete an one-way online video interview .  An interview invitaton with a link will be emailed to you from "noreplytalented."
