PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Provide first level of support and intervention to students, parents and staff to
decrease student absences and tardies. Increase student engagement and academic
achievement through increased school attendance which enables students to become
college, career and military ready.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent
Clear & valid driver's license
Minimum of >40 words per minute
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Adequate to advanced computer skills including use of Microsoft Office
Possess and operative a motor vehicle
Possess outstanding human relations qualities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Possess a genuine interest and desire to help youth
Ability to manage time and tasks
Work as part of a team and individually to accomplish tasks
Work Conditions:
Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and
peripherals
Posture: Prolonged sitting and standing; bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Repetitive hand motions including keyboarding; reaching; walking and standing
Lifting: Lifting and carrying (less than 50 pounds)
Environment: Must be able to work with frequent interruptions and maintain professional
demeanor under stress; must be able to work flexible hours including summer and
evening work; must wear professional attire
Travel: Frequent district-wide travel- must have own transportation
Regular attendance is an essential function.
Minimum Experience
Prior employment experience in a school setting preferred
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Track student attendance reports and identify patterns or trends of poor attendance.
- Investigate cause of absences and tardies by communicating with campus attendance staff, administration, teachers and parents/guardians.
- Participate in attendance committee meetings.
- Support all activities lead by the CCRM department.
- Provide link between school and campus for extended absences due to illness, pregnancy, hospitalization, etc.
- Help to insure proper documentation is received by the campus from the parent/guardian, physician, etc.
- Complete home visits with an assistant principal, counselor, CCMR Coordinator and/or liaison officer;
- Provide assistance to parents in scheduling conferences with the school counselor, administration and teachers.
- Provide the primary step of re-integrating the student back to campus upon an extended absence.
- Help to provide information related to the student’s absences to campus administration and District attendance personnel.
- Analyze attendance reports and trends throughout the school year.
- Assist campus administration in tracking and responding to student absences.
- Compile, maintain and file all reports, records and other documents required.
- Ensure confidentiality.
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all local policies and state and federal statutes including the Educator Code of Ethics.
- Perform such other tasks and accepts such other responsibilities as may be assigned.
